On 13 December 2019, our National Officer of France will take part to a panel discussion on Global Citizenship at the House of UNESCO in Paris. This session aims to examine how the consciousness of being a Global Citizen is a key element in the protection of human rights and it will define what Global Citizenship is in practice. Speakers will include representatives from the UNESCO youth network and other non-governmental organizations.
Four different round-tables will be organized during the event with the aim to:
- Raise awareness on the power of human rights education to foster Global citizenship and create a human rights culture that respects diversity
- Contribute to the fourth phase of World Programme for Human Rights Education
- Gather different human rights stakeholders to discuss and reflect on concrete actions
