What school and world we are looking forward to have in 2030? How do we get there? And in what ways is Global Citizenship Education relevant to this journey?
Big questions were asked at the University of Latvia during the Global Education Day. The celebration of this day has become a significant and valuable tradition at the university - a day where more than 70 future and present teachers as well as academics came together to learn more about global education trends.
At the event participants got to share their experiences with global education and with implementing sustainable education in Latvia. They also got the opportunity to interact with experts from the governmental and non-governmental sector, and were given new ideas an inspiration through creative workshops and games.
The event was organized in cooperation with the University of Latvia, the Latvian National Commission for UNESCO, and the network of higher education institutions LAPSA.
