SLOGA have published a report on the state Global Citizenship Education in Slovenia with the purpose of illustrating the importance of GCE at a national and local level for key stakeholders.
Following an analysis of GCE in Slovenia conducted from June to September in 2019, the report presents an overview of local, national and European GCE policies, and a review of relevant national and foregin documents. The concept of GCE is also explored in comparison to other relevant topics in Slovenia, such as Education for Sustainable Development and Education for Global Citizenship.
This report offers several recommendations for key stakeholders, which will serve as a starting point for further discussion, and the national presentation of the report with a round table discussion will take place on the 6th February 2019.
The analysis was prepared by Jana Arbeiter from the Centre of International Relations (CIR) - Sloga’s GCE partner within the Bridge 47 project - at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana.
The report is currently only available in Slovene. Any questions should be directed to Bridge 47's National Officer at SLOGA, Marjan Huč at: marjan.huc@bridge47.org.
