Envision 4.7

Bridge 47 and over 200 European policy makers, academics, civil society representatives and others will gather in Helsinki to discuss, learn and plan for the future of SDG Target 4.7 in Europe. Envision 4.7 is organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland under the auspices of Finland’s Presidency of the EU Council.

Target 4.7 is an essential foundation for achieving the SDGs. Without transformative lifelong learning and value-based education we cannot hope to see the positive changes we strive for in our societies. Envision 4.7 is an opportunity for us to celebrate the collaborative spirit of Europe, and to discuss and plan for the future implementation of 4.7.

Participants will work together to create a roadmap for the implementation of Target 4.7 in Europe. “Envision 4.7” is a space for learning, discussion, debate and networking. The goal is that we will come to better understandings and define the action steps required to turn Target 4.7 into a reality for Europe. This is a participatory event that will include influential speakers, interactive workshops, crucial networking opportunities and more. The event will be opened by the Minister of Education of Finland, Ms. Li Andersson.
