What is the Bridge 47 Network?

The Bridge 47 Network brings together people passionate about transformative education from around the world. It was founded in 2014, with the aim to create a learning space for members and help them spot inspiring, out of the box opportunities for cooperation. We strive to form a vibrant coalition for education that inspires hearts and minds across continents.

Who can become a member of the Network?

Anyone who is passionate about education, whether non-formal or formal, as a tool for a more sustainable and just tomorrow, can join our story. Our network is very diverse – we represent civil society organizations and academia, we are policy makers, educators and activists, and some of us come from the private sector, too.

We advocate at global, European and national levels for the target 4.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals, but we also share participatory educational methods and engagement tools to inspire people to act and simply do things differently.

What added value would joining the Network bring for the members?

No one has figured it all out – only by getting together can we better connect the dots and improve our understanding of the many different realities when it comes to transformative education.

By joining us, you can enrich your own network with new contacts and perspectives. We will share international happenings in the world of transformative education and SDG Target 4.7 with you, as well as help you find interesting people and organisations to partner up with.

You will also be encouraged to share your own stories and promote your happenings in our communications channels. Finally, there are opportunities to get immersed in the different online and offline networking and learning opportunities such as our webinars, events and trainings.
